Empowering Women

Work with communities to legally empower women and girls, remedy domestic violence and marginalization through sensitization on gender roles and responsibilities. Conduct advocacy at Sub-county and district levels for cause systemic change that ensures women and girls’ inclusivity and empowerment. This includes raising level of awareness on relevant legislation and demanding that women become active leaders taking up key roles on leadership committees and are able to influence decision making both at local and community/Sub-county level.

Community campaigns on community leadership, women voices and gender, WASH, menstrual hygiene management and sexual reproductive health.

Home management conference (HMC) for mentors and mentees to share, learn and train on leadership, relationship in marriage, sex in marriage, children & relatives in marriage, health living, finance in marriage. This will lead to raising of awareness, influencing behavior change and political commitment to end gender violence on the side of the leaders.

Adongo Grace

Adongo Grace, a chairperson of Kica-Oganga HIV group, and her group members who are living positive from Lira sub-county Omito parish in Omito Bung “A” village.
