The Home Builders Conference (HBC)

In November 2024, we convened the HBC to help focus was on spiritual empowerment. We had sessions for members with instruction on nutrition and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) for women of reproductive age and children below 5 years. Over 100 members attended, including men, youth, and women. The members came out of the conference with an action plan to improve their health by improving their dietary habits and choice of what to eat, plus setting up WASH facilities in their households.

Susan’s testimony at the Home Builder Conference

“WNSP convenes the Home Builders Conference annually and I really like attending the Conferences as it is a safe space to reenergize and get reassurance for one’s purpose in life. When I came to the Conference in 2023, I was traumatized because I had just lost my only baby. I felt hopeless with trouble building up in my marriage. I went five years without giving birth and it was beginning to take toll on my marriage. I eventually gave birth and unfortunately my baby died before making two years. This was the worst time of my life. During the Conference, I was prayed for and received counseling. The Conference went a long way in offering a safe space for me to engage with fellow women and provided reassurance for a productive life. I went back home feeling at ease and energized to take on the challenges I was facing with the assurance that God will see me through. To my excitement, I conceived three months later and gave birth to twins. I shared my testimony during the 2024 conference to provide inspiration to other women facing the same challenge as the one I did.”
